Moo!

HAPPY APRIL everyone! Hope you are well and ready for the weekend. I know I am! :)

I've been sketching a lot of animals lately. Trying to add more of a personal touch to them. The first one was the frog from the previous post. I've also changed my rendering technique. Can you tell? I'm trying not to outline as much and when I do... I'm blending it. What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by :)

Firstly - Thanks so much for my Sunshine Award Julissa! You rock :) Sorry it took me so long to post it on my blog, been so busy. Now - I love this cow! She is definitely a 'cow about town'! I really like the soft, blended outline, although I never thought your illustrations had strong or harsh outlines anyway. Both your cow and your frog have got a lot of personality - well done!

Thanks for all the nice comments. You are all very sweet. I'm on my way to visit each of you...can't wait to see what you've been up to!

Bee- I guess I'm the only one that can see the harsh lines in my work. You know how it is... always looking for ways to improve. ;)

hugs :)

Julissa - love that she has such a rockin' pose and has that awesome touch of a leopard-print scarf. It's all of those wonderful personal touches that make this sing..and I do love your frog too. I'm really enjoying these. I must say that I always get a positive friendly sense when I see your work...there's a definitely upbeat mood that comes across. I never noticed too defined of linework in your work..just a finished quality to them all - always.

don't know what rendering or blending is ... but i love it! your work is always fun and cute, and accessible to kids and adults both -- doesn't bore adults or patronize kids. i guess that's a mom's answer :)
