The Sketchbook Project

Hello blogger friends :) I hope you have all been enjoying your Labor Day weekend.

I finally got started on my sketchbook project and wanted to share it with you. If you haven't heard of this project yet, you must check it out! I think everyone should participate. How cool would it be to see your sketchbook at a gallery or museum? And I love the fact that after the tour the sketchbooks will be at the Brooklyn Art Library in a permanent collection. Plus they will all get barcodes and anyone can view them. It's like a library of sketchbooks! How cool is that?

The sketchbooks are themed and I picked If you Lived Here. I first tried to plan out my pages but realized that wasn't going to work after a few days. It was just too many pages to plan and not enough time so I just dove right in. I'm sketching about my life here in Orlando and it's not in any kind of order but that's how sketchbooks are supposed to be, right? :P Anyway, here are my first two spreads.

Thanks for stopping by! It really means a lot to me to be able to share my work with you on this blog. ;)

Thanks for the return visit. ;o)

I've done a bit of testing on the Moleskine paper if you are interested: Moleskine Test

Spray glue definitely keeps the pages the flatest and the most wrinkle-free!

Thanks Moira. Yeah, I know it's so hard to get away from the net. I tend to get lost in it for hours sometimes. Glad you like the b/w stickers. I had fun and hope to do more of them.

Thanks papier et encre. What's your first name btw hee hee? Thanks for the link and all of that testing you did. It's great to know that the spray mount won't bubble up. Yay!

Elizabeth - Thanks! It's been fun for me too. So glad to have met you and thanks for the follow. I'm following you too on all of your sites now ;)

Loni - Thanks! I know, I've been feeling the same way. I was working in it last night and found myself getting lost in the rendering... so fun!

Thanks Kathy! Can't wait to see your sketches.

Thanks Alina!
