New in The Studio
These paintings are my first three attempts in Gouache. It's all experimental at the moment until I find a medium I'm comfortable working in.

Cool cupcake toppers! Your gouache paintings are looking good! I experimented with gouache the other month and I like it better then acrylic.
Hi Julissa! I love, love, love your cupcake toppers! So much fun and your paintings are looking quite fab, too! I've never used gouache, but I've heard it's good for building up layers. Good luck, you're off to a great start, I think.
Thank you so much for this post. I want to let you know that I posted a link to your blog in CBH Digital Scrapbooking Freebies, under the Page 3 post on Oct. 04, 2011. Thanks again.
Fantastic post, Julissa! Your cupcake toppers are fabulous..and your paintings are wonderful! I haven't painted in gouache for ages..so I can only imagine how much time and love you put into these. They truly have your feel to them..keep up the great work! And that lady's hat is amazing! Stay warm in that new fall coat..OH how I love the fall!
I'm so surprised you paint! I thought you work digitally! Great job!
Your paintings look great, I am enjoying your blog.
I really love JoSonja for gauche look, they are creamy acrylics, so you can put them on top of each other with out the first layer building up.
I also got a wet palette that i use, it keeps the paints wetter longer. Have fun painting.
